CEUs through AAC Institute
Up to 1.1 AAC Institute CEUs can be earned for participation at the 7th Annual Assistive Technology Expo. The 4/14 pre-conference day will have 6.5 hours of instructional time and the 4/15 educational sessions will offer up to 4 hours of instructional time. Click here for session descriptions.
RESNA accepts AAC Institute CEUs for maintenance of the ATP/ATS credential. ASHA members can report to ASHA those CEUs earned for sessions that relate to the practice of speech-language pathology and audiology for certification maintenance. OTs can report to the NBCOT those CEUs earned for sessions that relate to the practice of occupational therapy. Links to additional information can be found at the AAC Institute web site under CEUs. AAC Institute maintains the required records relative to third party substantiation of activity participation. CEUs may be useful for others as well for meeting the requirements for licensure, credential maintenance and employment.
What to do:
1) Keep track of sessions you attend in full by marking them in your program.
2) When you return home, register for CEUs by visiting http://www.aacinstitute.org/CEUs/2010ATExpo-Fargo/2010ATExpo-Fargo.html
Follow the instructions provided there, you will be asked to download the session attendance report form, indicate those sessions attended, and return the form as an email attachment. A sample form can be viewed at the AAC Institute stand in the conference registration area. Your saved file will serve as your record. You also will be asked to download, complete and return the Evaluation and Learning Assessment Form. After all forms are received and processed, you will receive a certificate by email.

The workshop on 4/14 has been approved for 6.5 hours, and specific presentations on the morning 4/15. It is possible to earn up to 4 clock hours for the formal presentations. No hours are awarded for exhibits. People requesting hours for this expo will need to show proof of attending the presentations. A certificate will be provided to all registered attendees.
